Building For The Future

Introducing our newest warehouse: The Greens

In 2024, EFN opened our newest warehouse, The Greens. The Greens is 21,780 square feet, enough room for nearly 1,800 pallets, and has increased our storage capacity by 40%! The Greens is an important addition to our campus because it will increase the amount of food that we can procure and distribute to our partners while also allowing us to improve the efficiency of our operations. We will use our original warehouse, EFN Main, to build and distribute orders for our partners and store fresh and frozen foods while The Greens will store incoming food until it is needed for distribution.

The need for food assistance in Pierce County continues to grow. In 2024, EFN’s partners are consistently serving twice as many visits each month than they did in 2019. With more storage space, we can say yes to more food donations and invest in more food purchasing for our partners. Now that we have this additional capacity, we need your help to get more food so that we can keep up with the growing need. You can help by making a donation or hosting a food and fund drive. EFN can accept food donations ranging from the bag all the way up to the truckload. No donation is too big or too small, and each donation will help ensure that no person goes hungry in Pierce County.

EFN is immensely grateful for all of the partnerships that made The Greens possible. Thank you especially to everyone who supported this project, including our entire Board of Directors; our government, foundation, and corporate partners; individuals and families; and EFN staff.
