More than 2 million visits are made to food pantries, meal sites, and shelters in Pierce County each year.
All donations to Emergency Food Network are tax-deductible.
Tax ID #94-3131776
All gifts are used for general operations unless restricted towards a specific program.
Emergency Food Network aids these visits by distributing 13 million pounds of food annually to the 75+ food programs it serves.
Each time a community member walks into a food program with nothing, Emergency Food Network assures they walk out with enough food for nine meals.
For every $1 donated, EFN provides 2 meals for our neighbors in need.
How do we do it? We are able to purchase healthy food in bulk, procure donated food while only paying for the delivery cost, receive donated truckloads of food through partnerships with other nonprofit organizations, and harvest fresh produce from our Mother Earth Farm. This efficiency is made possible by the efforts of 31 staff members and 1,383 dedicated volunteers.
Emergency Food Network has been awarded a
4-Star Rating by Charity Navigator and
Platinum Transparency Certification on Candid.
